THE AUCTION

Auction paddles ready!

Every year PBI hosts an auction to support work-study scholarships, and in the event of a shortfall, any operating expenses not covered by participant tuition. The auction is a vital part of PBI’s ability to support the scholarship program, and, along with the banquet, is a fun and boisterous conclusion to the session.

An eclectic assortment of wonders for the silent auction.

How to donate to auction: The auction items are contributed by friends, participants, and instructors. These may include book or paper related items, tools, books, art papers, works of art, service to the donors, guest stays at the studio/homes of participants. Whatever your imagination deems suitable, someone will treasure. From light to heavy, small to big, we welcome items of many manners. Not to be excluded might be serious items like a signed Kim Kardashian poster, a tour of the conservation lab at the Carolina Rediviva Library at the Uppsala University in Sweden, or maybe a visit to the backrooms of the famous Morgan Library to handle their precious Medieval manuscripts, or a bobble head of Pope Francis.

Please consider donating to the Auction. Items may be sent after the first of May to Oxbow, 3435 Rupprecht Drive, Saugatuck, MI 49453, marked to the attention of Tom Balbo (the Auctioneer). You can also bring items to PBI. Thank you!
